Here are some of the questions we get asked most often.

Q. I think there is a rat / mouse in my loft.

A. If you are not sure its worth placing a piece of chocolate just inside the loft hatch, if it gets taken than there is something up there !

Q. I have rats/mice/wasps (Any Pest) what should I do ?

A. We would suggest you call your Local Independent pest controller, who should be able to advise you of what they can do and how much it would cost.

For most standard jobs you should be able to be given a price over the phone, if you have large premises or a business you may require a survey. These are normally free of charge.

Don't think that it will be to expensive as most companies charge less then calling a plumber out. As most pests can cause damage in some way it is important you get the problem sorted out as quickly as possible.

Q. What can a pest controller do that I cannot do myself ?

A. As with most jobs around the home, some people are happy doing it themselves some can take on plumbing, electrics etc.

Others would prefer to get someone in who knows what they are doing. It is probable you will need to use some type of pesticide/rodenticide or trap, all these methods can have their own associated problems, it may be best to just call someone !

Q. Is it Humane to poison Rats/Mice

A. All rodenticides are cleared for use by DEFRA (Formaly MAFF), and under the cruel poisons act any bait that is deemed "Cruel" would be banned.
